Who is the Musing Gamer

My real name is JD, I am an events management and community engagement expert with a deep seated love for video games and pop culture. I started this site with the hopes of sharing more on my personal opinions and insights into video gaming, e-sports and events surrounding the industry. Ultimately, my goal is to create fun and interesting content that provides new perspectives and hopefully a few laughs to my fellow Musing Gamers.

Events Planning and Management

As a professional I have sixteen years of professional experience both creating and improving existing events. I have primarily specialized in large scale live events in the music and comedy industries but have also put on numerous community events, fundraisers and winning conference bid teams. To date I have been very lucky to have planned and promoted many large independent shows featuring artists such as Hasan Minhaj, Ron Funches, Bryce Vine, Bowling for Soup, 3oh3! and many more. These events have ranged from smaller club sized shows with a few hundred guests to full blown productions with attendances topping six thousand. I am making this statement not to brag (well I sort of am) but because from time to time I will likely write posts regarding my thoughts on various events and entertainment industry topics and want to highlight my expertise in the area.
